Marco Butti è pronto a fare il suo debutto nella Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, in occasione del primo appuntamento della stagione che si disputerà questo fine settimana presso l’Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

Il pilota comasco scenderà in pista con il team The Driving Experiences, dando inizio a una nuova fase della sua carriera in una delle categorie monomarca più competitive del panorama europeo.

Butti arriva a questo appuntamento dopo una positiva sessione di test proprio sul tracciato di Imola, dove ha mostrato un rapido adattamento alla vettura e un buon livello di competitività fin dai primi giri.

Nella Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, tutti i piloti competono con la stessa vettura, la Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, equipaggiata con motore da 3.996 cm³, 510 CV e cambio sequenziale a 6 marce, garantendo così il massimo equilibrio in pista.

Marco Butti is set to make his debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia during the opening round of the season, which will take place this weekend at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

The Como-born driver will compete with The Driving Experiences, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his racing career in one of the most competitive one-make series in Europe.

Il primo appuntamento della stagione 2026 del TCR Europe, disputato il 21 e 22 marzo all’Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, ha visto Marco Butti affrontare un fine settimana intenso e combattuto davanti al pubblico di casa.

Il pilota comasco, al volante della CUPRA León VZ TCR del team Monlau Motorsport, ha ottenuto il settimo tempo in qualifica, dimostrando fin da subito un buon potenziale sul tracciato toscano.

In Gara 1, Butti è stato protagonista di una rimonta significativa. Dopo essere stato coinvolto in un contatto alla partenza che lo ha relegato nelle ultime posizioni, è riuscito a recuperare terreno grazie a un ottimo ritmo gara, chiudendo in decima posizione e conquistando punti preziosi.

In Gara 2, Marco ha confermato la competitività mostrata durante il weekend, concludendo al settimo posto al termine di una corsa solida e combattuta.

Grazie ai risultati ottenuti al Mugello, Butti lascia il primo round della stagione occupando l’ottava posizione nella classifica Piloti.

The opening round of the 2026 TCR Europe season, held on March 21–22 at the Mugello International Circuit, saw Marco Butti tackle a demanding and competitive weekend in front of his home crowd.

The driver from Como, racing the CUPRA León VZ TCR with Monlau Motorsport, showed strong pace from the start, securing seventh place in qualifying.

In Race 1, Butti delivered an impressive recovery drive. After being involved in contact at the start that dropped him to the back of the field, he fought his way through the pack with excellent race pace to finish in tenth position, collecting valuable championship points.

In Race 2, Marco confirmed his competitiveness by securing a solid seventh-place finish after a consistent and hard-fought race.

With these results, Butti leaves Mugello in eighth position in the Drivers’ Championship standings, keeping his goals firmly in sight for the remainder of the season.

The 2026 season marks the beginning of a new and ambitious challenge for Marco Butti, who is ready to return as a front-runner in the TCR Europe Touring Car Series with Monlau Motorsport, the reigning Drivers’ and Teams’ Champions. The Como-based driver will be part of a three-car line-up and will compete behind the wheel of a CUPRA Leon VZ TCR, with the clear objective of fighting once again at the top of the championship.

 

For Butti, this will be his third season in TCR Europe. After winning the Trophy class in his debut year in 2022, the Italian driver continued his career in the TCR Italy championship in 2023, before stepping up to the FIA TCR World Tour in 2024. His return to TCR Europe in 2025 saw him immediately among the main title contenders, heading into the final round of the season as championship leader.

 

Joining Monlau Motorsport now represents a key strategic step in Butti’s career. The Barcelona-based team enters the 2026 season with a renewed project and a highly competitive line-up. The objective is clear: to defend last year’s titles and reaffirm their position as a benchmark in the category.
