Dopo la sua partecipazione al TCR World Tour sul circuito di Monza, Marco Butti ha concluso il fine settimana con una grande prestazione in Gara 2, dove è riuscito a risalire dalla 15ª all’8ª posizione, dimostrando ritmo e determinazione davanti al pubblico di casa, nonostante un problema tecnico che ha condizionato buona parte dell’evento.

Il giovane pilota italiano, al volante della Honda Civic Type R del team GOAT Racing, non ha potuto esprimere al massimo il potenziale della vettura nelle sessioni iniziali e in qualifica a causa di un inconveniente tecnico. Tuttavia, domenica, una volta risolto il problema, ha saputo cogliere ogni opportunità in pista per recuperare posizioni e chiudere con un risultato positivo.

Marco Butti ha dichiarato:

«Abbiamo chiuso il weekend con una buona gara, nonostante fossimo partiti dalle retrovie. Purtroppo un problema tecnico ha condizionato gran parte del fine settimana, ma una volta risolto, siamo riusciti a dimostrare il nostro potenziale e a rimontare con un buon passo gara.

Sono molto grato alla famiglia Fernández per la fiducia e il supporto nel contribuire al progetto europeo nel Mondiale Turismo. Il team GOAT Racing ha fatto un lavoro eccezionale per superare le difficoltà e mettermi in condizione di lottare domenica con una macchina competitiva.

Grazie anche ai miei sponsor, che mi accompagnano in questa fase mondiale della stagione, e ovviamente alla mia famiglia, al mio team e agli amici che mi hanno supportato sia in pista che a distanza, come sempre. Ora testa alle prossime gare: ci aspettano tanti weekend consecutivi che ci permetteranno di girare tanto con la macchina.»

Dopo questa impegnativa tappa, Marco si prepara per il suo quarto fine settimana consecutivo di gara: torna il TCR Europe, con la prossima tappa che si disputerà a Misano, circuito italiano del calendario continentale, dove correrà nuovamente in casa con l’obiettivo di continuare a ottenere risultati importanti nella sua campagna internazionale.

Strong comeback for Butti in Monza: next stop, Misano

After his participation in the TCR World Tour at the Monza circuit, Marco Butti wrapped up the weekend with a strong performance in Race 2, climbing from 15th to 8th place and showing pace and determination in front of his home crowd—despite dealing with a technical issue throughout much of the event.

The young Italian driver, behind the wheel of the GOAT Racing Honda Civic Type R, was unable to fully unleash the car’s potential during the initial sessions and qualifying due to a technical problem. However, once the issue was resolved, he made the most of every opportunity on track, recovering several positions and finishing with a solid result.

Marco Butti stated:

“We closed the weekend with a good race, even though we started from the back of the grid. Unfortunately, a technical issue affected most of our weekend, but once we solved it, we were able to show our potential and move forward with good pace during the race.

I’m very grateful to the Fernández family for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to contribute to the team during the European phase of the World Touring Car campaign. GOAT Racing did an excellent job overcoming the difficulties and giving me a competitive car for Sunday’s race.

Now it’s time to refocus: we have several race weekends in a row that will allow us to get plenty of mileage with the car.”

After this demanding round, Marco is now getting ready for his fourth consecutive race weekend, as the TCR Europe resumes. The next stop is Misano, the Italian venue on the continental calendar, where he’ll race once again on home soil with the goal of continuing to achieve strong results in his international campaign.
