Dopo le tappe di Valencia e Monza nel TCR World Tour, Marco Butti è tornato questo fine settimana a concentrarsi sul TCR Europe per affrontare il quarto round del calendario 2025, sul circuito di Misano. Una gara speciale per il giovane pilota italiano, che ha corso davanti al pubblico di casa, circondato da famiglia e amici.
Il weekend era iniziato con segnali promettenti: Butti ha fatto segnare il miglior tempo nella prima sessione di prove libere e ha poi centrato l’ottava posizione in qualifica.
Purtroppo, un problema tecnico sulla sua vettura lo ha costretto al ritiro al terzo giro di Gara 1. Nonostante il poco tempo in pista, Butti è riuscito a registrare il giro più veloce della corsa.
Domenica è tornato in pista con determinazione: partito quarto in griglia, ha conquistato la terza posizione al traguardo, chiudendo il weekend sul podio e raccogliendo punti importanti per la classifica generale.
Marco Butti ha dichiarato:
«Forse le cose non sono andate come immaginavamo, ma abbiamo chiuso il weekend con un podio e punti importanti per restare in lotta per il campionato. Quest’anno siamo stati sfortunati in più occasioni, ma credo anche che stiamo lavorando bene e siamo stati veloci in ogni gara. Ora vedremo come andranno le cose in Austria: abbiamo una buona macchina e continueremo a lavorare sodo per raggiungere i risultati. Grazie ai miei sponsor, alla mia famiglia, al team e agli amici che hanno spinto forte in questa gara di casa. Dopo un sabato difficile, è stato bello chiudere la domenica sul podio.»
Il prossimo appuntamento del TCR Europe sarà al Red Bull Ring (Austria), dal 5 al 7 settembre.
Marco Butti finishes on the podium at home in Misano
After competing in Valencia and Monza in the TCR World Tour, Marco Butti returned to TCR Europe this weekend for the fourth round of the 2025 season, held at the Misano World Circuit. It was a special event for the young Italian driver, who raced in front of his home crowd, surrounded by family and friends.
Butti made a strong start to the weekend, topping the first free practice session and qualifying in P8.
Unfortunately, a technical issue forced him to retire from Race 1 on lap 3. Despite his early exit, Butti managed to set the fastest lap of the race.
On Sunday, he bounced back with determination: starting from P4, he moved up to finish in third place, securing a podium finish and valuable points for the championship standings.

«Things may not have gone exactly as we hoped, but we wrapped up the weekend with a podium and good points to stay in the fight for the championship. We’ve had some bad luck this year, but I also believe we’re doing a solid job and have shown great pace in every race. Now we’ll see how things go in Austria — we have a strong car and we’ll keep working hard to get the results. The next round of the TCR Europe will take place at Red Bull Ring (Austria), from September 5th to 7th.
